Recently, the Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province and the Department of Education of Zhejiang Province jointly announced the list of selected candidates for the 2025 Provincial "Science and Technology Vice President" Program. Researcher Wang Difeng and Senior Engineer Ni Xiaobo from our laboratory have been selected.
The selection and appointment of "Science and Technology Vice Presidents" is an important initiative of Zhejiang Province to advance the integrated reform of education, science and technology, and talent development, and to accelerate the development of new quality productive forces through innovation. It is a flexible talent introduction mechanism that selects researchers from universities and research institutes to concurrently hold technical management positions in enterprises, promoting the in-depth integration of industry, academia, and research, and assisting enterprises in tackling key technological bottlenecks and industrial upgrading. After institutional recommendation and expert review, this selection was conducted from more than 1,700 applicants across the province, and only 252 outstanding scientific and technological talents were finally selected for this honor.
In the follow-up, the two experts from our laboratory will be stationed at Hangzhou High-tech Innovation Group Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Guwei Technology Co., Ltd. respectively to carry out in-depth industry-university-research cooperation. They will give full play to their professional advantages, focusing on assisting enterprises in breaking through key technological bottlenecks, promoting the transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements, and providing scientific and technological support for the high-quality development of Zhejiang's marine industry.
Our institute has always attached great importance to the implementation of science and technology innovation policies and the cultivation of scientific and technological innovation talents, and actively supports the development of Zhejiang's marine economy and marine science and technology innovation. The selection of the two researchers as Provincial "Science and Technology Vice Presidents" to be stationed in enterprises will further strengthen the in-depth cooperation between our institute and high-tech enterprises, drive the flow and connection of projects, technologies, and achievements through talent resource exchange, and make greater contributions to scientific and technological innovation and industrial upgrading in Zhejiang Province.
