Description

Sea Surface Salinity (SSS): Sea surface salinity is a highly important dynamic parameter in the marine system. The only payload carried by the SMOS satellite is the interferometric synthetic aperture radiometer, which retrieves sea surface salinity by receiving sea surface brightness temperature information. This dataset is generated based on the SMOS-OS Level 2 product (v6.22) provided by ESA, and the SSS retrieval algorithm utilizes an iterative algorithm (optimization algorithm). The unit is psu.
