Description

The vertical distribution parameters of absorbing aerosol include the mean height of absorbing aerosol (AHm) and the standard deviation of aerosol height (AHsd).

Based on CALIPSO observations, we analyzed the spatial and temporal variation characteristics of the vertical distribution of absorbing aerosol during 2006-2016, and proposed a prediction model for the vertical distribution of absorbing aerosol based on machine learning and Gaussian fitting. Employing the ECMWF meteorological reanalysis and radiation data, we predicted the near-real vertical distribution of absorbing aerosols, and the mean height and height standard deviation of dust aerosol and smoke aerosol were obtained from 2007 to 2016.

Absorbing aerosol vertical distribution parameters monthly mean remote sensing data set can provide global absorptive aerosol mean height and aerosol height standard deviation remote sensing products. The time span of this product is 2003-2019, the spatial resolution is 0.75°×0.75°, and the time resolution is the monthly average. This product can provide data support for the atmospheric correction of ocean color remote sensing and aerosol radiation budget evaluation.
