On May 8, at the invitation of Professor Zheng Mei of the Institute of Oceanography of Peking University, researchers Zhou Feng, Researcher Bai Yan and Researcher He Xianqiang of the SOED National Security Office went to the Institute of Oceanography of Peking University for academic exchanges. Also participating in the exchange meeting were the team of Academician Dai Minhan of Xiamen University, Minister Zhou Hui, Professor Zhu Tong, Professor Zheng Mei of Peking University, as well as teacher and student representatives from multiple departments of Peking University.
At the exchange meeting, Professor Zheng Mei from the Peking University Institute of Oceanography and Professor Shi Dalin from the State Key Laboratory of Offshore Environmental Science at Xiamen University introduced the overview of each laboratory. He Xianqiang, Zhou Feng and others introduced research on water color remote sensing, ocean anoxia, and biogeochemical coupling models. Research teams from Peking University introduced relevant research from the Institute of Oceanography, and participating experts conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions. The atmosphere during the exchange meeting was lively, with teachers and students on site expressing their opinions and speaking freely, showing great interest in marine biochemistry and earth research. After the report, Professor Zheng Mei presented Peking University unique souvenirs on behalf of the Peking University Institute of Oceanography. This exchange meeting deepened the exchanges between participating units and laid the foundation for further cooperation in the future.
