Based on the retrieved normalized water-leaving radiance (or remote sensing reflectance, Rrs), the TSM was estimated using the empirical model developed by He et al. (2013). This empirical model was developed for the region of the Changjiang River Estuary as TSM=101.0758+1.1230*Rrs(745nm)/Rrs(490nm), when Rrs(745nm) is interpolated by the Rrs(653nm) and Rrs(809nm).
Known Issues:
The TSM empirical model adopted here is developed for the Changjiang River Estuary. Therefore, it should be caution that it may not suitable for other regions where the TSM has different optical properties.
